Don’t get scared when you arrive. You have to pass the the Camping of Wollishofen and his showers before you arrive to Fritz. This place has it all.  Fritz gives you immediately the feeling being on holiday . Food is good all kind of fresh fishes from the lake and they have a nice selection of wine.

Adrian Gerny’s fishery has been situated at Wollishofen Camping Ground. Before it had been in Küsnacht. In a media-effective way Michel Péclard, proprietor of a number of trendy restaurants, made the professional fisherman come to the other lakeside for his newest restaurant coup. A fresh fisherman fishes for «Fischers Fritz» – and both partners profit from it: There was a rush of guests in Péclard’s restaurant at the camping ground. And Gerny’s profession – which is often enough the target of extreme animal lovers – was positively talked about. «I respect the animals very much, more than any animal rights activist does. For my life depends on the fish», Gerny explains us in his orange overgarment out on the lake.

The professional fisherman, whose fishing area extends to the Küsnachter Horn, supplies a total of 22 restaurants in the city with fish. He delivers them personally. Gerny does not make a fortune of it. «My salary depends on the catch. It can be of 5 kilos today and 100 tomorrow.» The revenues obtained from large catches in summer make up for the scarce winter months. «I earn as much as a foreman», the fisherman says. An employee helps him to do the processing – smoked whitefish mousse and European perch tartar are Gerny’s specialties. His processing room is situated behind the kiosk of the camping ground, not even 100 meters from the water.

If you don’t feel like driving home, just rent one of their Safari Tents .

Spending the night in a safari tent.

If you like to do some sport, there is the “Wakeboard Academy” where you can do for example Stand Up Paddle Surfing

Next to the restaurant you will find a small shop, which is really amazing

I will be back to Fritz this summer!!!

Don’t forget: you have to make reservation

It was very easy to continue my Vegan Nutrition

In the morning I love my different Juices and Smoothies

You can get really creative

For example :

Mango – Apple- Avocado- Chia Seeds

I want to introduce to you the CHIA SEED and why I am using it every morning in my Juice:

Chia seeds are native to South America and have been a staple in Mayan and Aztec diets for centuries. Today, they draw the interest of many people for their health benefits and uses in cooking. It turns out the South American staple is a rich source of nutrients and antioxidants.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Chia seeds are rich in polyunsaturated fats, especially omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds’ lipid profile is composed of 60 percent omega-3s, making them one of the richest plant-based sources of these fatty acids — specifically, of alpha-linolenic acid, or ALA. The omega-3s in chia seeds can help reduce inflammation, enhance cognitive performance and reduce high cholesterol.

Fiber is associated with reducing inflammation, lowering cholesterol and regulating bowel function. Chia seeds are an excellent source of fiber, with a whopping 10 grams in only 2 tablespoons. That is one-third of the daily recommended intake of fiber per day.

Chia seeds are rich in antioxidants that help protect the body from free radicals, aging and cancer. The high antioxidant profile also helps them have a long shelf life. They last almost two years without refrigeration.

Two tablespoons of chia seeds contain 18 percent of the DRI for calcium, 35 percent for phosphorus, 24 percent for magnesium and about 50 percent for manganese. These nutrients help you prevent hypertension and maintain a healthy weight, and are important for energy metabolism and a part of DNA synthesis.

Satiety is the feeling of being full and satisfied, which helps lower food cravings between meals. The combination of protein, fiber and the gelling action of chia seeds when mixed with liquids all contribute to their satiating effects.

Chia seeds contain no gluten or grains. Therefore, all of the nutritional benefits of chia seeds can be obtained on a gluten-free diet.

Egg Replacer

The outer layer of chia seeds swells when mixed with liquids to form a gel. This can used in place of eggs to lower cholesterol and increase the nutrient content of foods and baked goods. To make the egg replacement, mix 1 tablespoon of chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water and let sit for 15 minutes.

Can Be Digested Whole

Unlike flaxseeds, which are also high in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and minerals, chia seeds do not need to be ground in order to obtain their nutrient or egg- replacement benefits.

A study published in the “British Journal of Nutrition” showed that chia seeds as a dietary fat source can lower triglycerides and cholesterol levels while increasing HDL or “good” cholesterol. The study also found that when substituting chia seeds for other fat sources, such as corn oil, the ALA was able to prevent high triglyceride levels and reduce central obesity.

Blood Sugar Regulation

Chia seeds can play an important role in regulating insulin levels. They can reduce insulin resistance and decrease abnormally high levels of insulin in the blood.
Know what to expect in taste and consistency. Chia seeds are relatively bland and have very little flavor of their own. Additionally, they take on a gelatinous texture when combined with liquids.

  • If eaten plain, chia seeds will actually start to combine with the saliva in your mouth and begin taking on their trademark gel-like consistency.
  • The lack of potent flavor and thickening properties of chia seed makes it especially suitable for combining with other foods and liquids. It can be eaten plain without any adverse effects, but most people prefer to eat the seeds combined with other foods. In fact, many claim that chia seeds also help to intensify the flavor of foods they are added to.

You will find many recipes in the Internet how to use the CHIA Seeds

for example:

Like always take care of the quality you choose and buy only organic!!

Have a nice week end. Enjoy the sun and  rebirth of nature

Today  last DETOX Day.

It was such a great experience for me. I will continue eating like this, because i feel so much better already after 6 days.

I have forgot to tell you that I changed from vinegar in the morning to lemon water, which I prefer by far !!

Why you should drink warm Lemon water in the morning:

Start the day out with a mug of warm water and the juice of half a lemon.

It’s so simple and the benefits are just too good to ignore. Warm water with lemon:

1. Boosts you’re immune system

Lemons are high in Vitamin C and potassium. Vitamin C is great for fighting colds and potassium stimulates brain & nerve function and helps control blood pressure.

2. Balances pH

Lemons are an incredibly alkaline food, believe it or not. Yes, they are acidic on their own, but inside our bodies they’re alkaline (the citric acid does not create acidity in the body once metabolized). As you wellness warriors know, an alkaline body is really the key to good health.

3. Helps with weight loss

Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet lose weight faster. And, my experience is that when I start the day off right, it’s easier to make the best choices for myself the rest of the day.

4. Aids digestion

The warm water serves to stimulate the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis—the waves of muscle contractions within the intestinal walls that keep things moving. Lemons and limes are also high in minerals and vitamins and help loosen ama, or toxins, in the digestive tract.

5. Acts as a gentle, natural diuretic

Lemon juice helps flush out unwanted materials because lemons increase the rate of urination in the body. Toxins are, therefore, released at a faster rate which helps keep your urinary tract healthy.

6. Clears skin

The vitamin C helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes. Lemon water purges toxins from the blood which helps keep skin clear as well.

7. Hydrates the lymph system

This cup of goodness helps start the day on a hydrated note, which helps prevent dehydration (obviously) and adrenal fatigue. When your body is dehydrated, or deeply dehydrated (adrenal fatigue) it can’t perform all of it’s proper functions, which leads to toxic buildup, stress, constipation, and the list goes on. Your adrenals happen to be two small glands that sit on top of your kidneys, and along with your thyroid, create energy. They also secrete important hormones, including aldosterone. Aldosterone is a hormone secreted by your adrenals that regulates water levels and the concentration of minerals, like sodium, in your body, helping you stay hydrated. Your adrenals are also responsible for regulating your stress response. So, the bottom line is that you really don’t want to mess with a deep state of dehydration!

Juice and Smoothie Day

Celery,Apple, Fennel and a piece of Ginger  in the Juicer

Than I transferred the Juice to the mixer, added half of the Avocado and some Lemon Juice

It tasted as good as it looked

Lunch I was not home. I made a 3 hours walk and I stopped in a little mountain hut where I ordered some wonderful green Asparagus with grilled Potatoes . Sorry I forgot my camera. But here some photos that I made previous.

I am so tired from my walk I could choose between a soup  or

I choose the Smoothie.I promise, it taste much better than it looks like, but blackberries makes a funny color .

This was my personal DETOX . I hope you enjoyed reading and that you have been inspired to make YOUR DETOX.

I prepared already yesterday an Apple-Pear Compote

with Cinnamon-Cardamom-Lemon peel and Goji Berries

The secret to staying young: eat goji berries

You might of heard of these berries before and you might have not but Goji Berries have been shown to reduce the your body’s ability to age, keeping you youthful in spirit and physique.

There are many unique and interesting things about these beautiful berries:

1. They contain essential amino acids

In fact they contain the highest concentration of protein in any fruit!

2. They are loaded with antioxidants

Antioxidants aid the functioning of our immune systems, they help fight the free radicals that contribute to cancer as well as ageing.

3. Better than Popeye

Boasting 15 times the amount of iron found in spinach, as well as a heap of calcium, zinc, selenium and many other important trace minerals, these bad boys are a winning ticket to optimal health.

So how do I eat them?

I tend to pop them in my breakfast bowl, along side some whole milk yogurt, fresh berries and nuts. Or I pop them in a smoothie or just grab a handful of them as a snack.

There also great to pop into healthy dessert as an extra goodie!

They soak up a lot of juice so I quite like eating them after soaking them for half an hour in almond milk or yogurt.

BUCKWHEAT FLAKES with Apple-Pear Compote and Pistachios

Just boil the Flakes in water with little salt, for a few minutes, they are ready very fast. When ready you can add very little of Coconut Oil .

GRILLED ZUCCHINI with Spring Onion, Garlic, Chili, Oregano

I served with  grilled Pepper and Thai Rice

In the morning I grilled the orange-yellow-red Pepper in the oven

Fennel with Cherrie Tomatoes, Carper and  Dill

I steamed the Fennel

The Tomatoes I fryed in Olive Oil , i added the Carpers. No salt as the Carpers are salty enough. Serve with a Dill.

It was just YUMMMI !!!!

Don’t forget to drink at least 2 liters a day!!!!

Have a nice evening
